In acroyoga, a handstand on the ground is usually an entry or exit pose. Sometimes a sequence starts with a handstand, or it ends with a controlled landing from one. Therefore, maintaining balance is not the goal here, as this is just a transitional position. However, if the handstand is performed on the base’s hands (or another body part), that is a different case and is discussed separately.
