From Reverse Straddle Throne to Handstand

382

In this video, we’re demonstrating a transition that begins just like a classic ‘waterfall’: the flyer leans back from reverse throne toward the base’s hands. Here the base catches the flyer’s shoulders while the flyer reaches for the ground and gracefully exits the pose into a handstand and lands on their feet. A smooth, elegant way to dismount with control and style.

The Waterfall movement

If we look only at the part from the straddle throne to the transition pose, this movement is often called ‘the waterfall.’ In this transition, the flyer gently leans back and slides down the base’s leg, creating a flowing, downward motion that resembles a waterfall. It’s a beautiful and graceful element that’s worth practicing on its own, as part of a beginner or more advanced flow
