From Straddle bat to Reverse Bird

384

In this transition, the flyer threads through the base’s legs, extending their body out of the pike position and moving into bird pose. The base bends and opens their knees to create space for the flyer to pass through. Once the flyer has made it through, the base straightens their legs and brings their feet together under the flyer’s belly to support bird pose. The base can assist the transition by holding the flyer’s hands—or even by holding their feet, depending on what feels most stable.

In this variation, the base supports the flyer by holding their hands and guiding them smoothly into reverse bird pose.
