This is a well-known and frequently used move, so it’s worth learning it properly. Most often, the transition happens from one side star to the other through straddle bat. In other words, not just from straddle bat to side star, but also in the opposite direction.
The base tips the flyer by bending one leg and assisting the movement with their hands. The flyer initiates the leg motion and uses their hands to push themselves up into side star. This is a subtitled tutorial by Daniel Scott—besides this clipped move, it’s worth watching the full video.
