The next level of the shoulderstand on hand is when the base holds the flyer’s shoulder with vertical arms and the flyer holds the base’s forearm and supports herself with it.

Daniel Scott: The pose is taken from a bird position, so that the flyer already holds the forearm of the base when tilting. Flipping from the bird is the same as with the ankle grip version.

The starting position is  shoulderstand with ankle holds. The flyer reaches across from the base’s ankle to the base’s forearm—first with one hand, then with the other. This is how they assume the shoulderstand with forearm holds position. Acrodicted com
