In the two photos, you can see the different hand positions. In the first one, the hands are in a supportive position, while in the second, they are in a stronger, pulling grip. The video shows when the transition from one grip to the other happens.   Super Dave 

The flyer stands on the base’s knees, or more precisely, just above the knees on the lower part of the base’s thighs. They shift their weight backward and use their hands to pull the base up onto their feet. The pose is stable if they can maintain this balance.
