The Prasarita Twist is a beginner exercise that starts from Folded Leaf and transitions into Straddle Bat. From there, we continue, passing through a Side Star before returning to the Folded Leaf position.  

I’m not breaking it down into separate transitions because this video provides the best explanation of the transition itself—it’s worth studying.


As a beginner you need only two pre-requisites for this washing machine:
1. Folded Leaf
2. Straddle Bat – most of all the PIKE is important!

We show you all our tipps and tricks to finally be able to do the prasarita twist with the right technique and not with strength. We start with a pre-exercise to practice the pike again. We then go into detail with the prasarita twist into both directions and show you a step-by-step tutorial. To make the foot placement easier, we filmed that for you from the side as well. We also support you with the needed spotting technique.
