From Bird to Reverse inside star

318

This is a common transition that appears in many sequences, especially when moving from one side star to the other through bird. We demonstrate the movement in the videos—it’s worth watching them all to understand and synchronize the process!

Daniel Scott’s instructional video, with subtitles, explains how to transition from bird to side star (reverse inside star). It’s called ‘reverse’ because the flyer faces away from the base and ‘inside’ because the flyer’s upper body points toward the base’s other leg. You can find a summary of side star variations below!

Side star from a bird – educational video. In addition to the clipped part, it is worth watching the entire video!

They hold hands at the bird, that’s how they pick up the side star. The side star here is just a temporary pose, the flyer is already turning… You can see how nicely the base tilts the flyer from horizontal to sideways. Partner Acrobatics
