This transition is a characteristic element of the “Eucalyptus Leap” washing machine.
The path forward consists of two steps: Reverse Inside Star → Koala → One-Legged Back Bird.
The way back is a single-step transition: One-Legged Back Bird → Reverse Inside Star.
Flyer grabs the base’s ankle and begins to pull it to her hips as she thrusts her hips forward and turns onto the base’s soles. The flyer grabs the base’s leg and raises her upper body to get into a side star. The flyer’s head is behind the base’s knee during the move.

Similar transition
A similar transition is “From one-legged back bird to inside star”, where the flyer arrives not in a reverse, but in a regular inside star position. (Part of the Revolution washing machine.)
What causes the difference?
It depends on which hip the flyer places on the base’s foot.
If it’s the hip farther from the base (relative to the flyer’s body position), the transition leads to a regular inside star.
If the flyer pulls in the closer leg and that hip lands on the base’s foot, the result is a reverse inside star.
Another difference is the grip: in one variation, the flyer holds the base’s ankle; in the other, there is hand-to-hand contact. But both transitions can be done with either type of grip.
