We mostly use this transition when switching from one side of inside side star to the other. In this case, reverse bird is just a passing pose — we don’t pause there, we keep moving.
Here, however, we’re stopping in reverse bird, because sometimes this pose is the starting point for another transition, such as a whip or foot-to-hand — and there are many other options too.
