Reverse Shoulderstand with ankle holds

414

The flyer holds the ankles of the base, the base holds the flyer by the shoulders with straight arms. Basic pose that can be held stably.
Compared to the plain shoulder stand, the difference is that here the flyer faces the base. The easiest way to do this pose is from the bird’s back, but there are other options, it’s worth watching the videos.

The video shows how to roll up into a back shoulderstand.

Here, the pose is taken from Back Bird. The video clearly shows how the flyer begins to lift their legs and hips, pushing away from the base’s foot until they reach the vertical position. Acrobility

Similar pose

You can see in the Partner Acrobatics or Simon’s video how they roll backward into an ankle-grabbed shoulder stand. With the same roll-up, you can also reach the floating paschi pose, which you’ll find in the last video for this pose. If you play around with this, you can also try it.
