From Classic throne to Bird (Step and Pop)

478

This transition can be tried with a step for beginners, or with a pop for the more experienced and adventurous. We’re showing you the options and videos on how to do it.

Used elements

The movement with STEP

Base lowers the flyer enough to hold her hand, providing a strong hold with an outstretched hand. Base takes one of his legs out (three points), flyer stretches her free leg back, so her hip becomes free, where the base can put his foot. When the flyer feels the support at her hip, she puts her body weight on it, so that the base can also take out the other leg, the flyer extends the other leg back, the base also puts the other leg in to the hip, and they assume the bird position. Flyer’s body is straight, both give a strong, extended hand.

Videos

In this version, during the transition, the foot of the flyer does not touch the foot of the base.  (See the next video)
Fliegefreunde

In this version, the sole of the flyer rests on the foot of the base all the way, thereby helping the process and thus increasing stability.

The movement with POP

The base lowers the flyer until they can reach each other’s hands. After establishing the hand grip, the base gives a push with the leg and pops the flyer up. The flyer brings their legs back and lands in bird pose. The base softens the landing.
