This transition moves smoothly from a Goofy Star into a Reverse Star.
The base initiates the movement by rotating the flyer until her free shoulder comes within reach of his free foot. He then places that foot beneath her shoulder in a toes-in position, establishing a new point of support. Once the support is secure, the base continues the rotation while removing his other foot from beneath the flyer’s shoulder and repositioning it in a toes-out position.
As the rotation progresses, the flyer naturally reaches the point where she can no longer maintain the hand-to-hand connection. At the right moment, she releases the base’s hand and takes hold of his foot, completing the transition into a stable Reverse Star.
The base controls the rotation and carefully coordinates each foot placement, while the flyer maintains a strong, engaged body and changes her grip only when the new support is fully established.
