The Frontisserie is the “sibling” of the Rotisserie, as the flyer rotates not perpendicular but parallel to the base. It alternates between back bird and front plank, connected by side star transitions. One key difference is that while the Rotisserie uses only one point of contact — a single hand — the Frontisserie relies on a two-handed grip between the base and the flyer. This provides greater stability and control during transitions, but also requires strong coordination and clear timing.
The Frontisserie also resembles the Logroll washing machine in that the flyer rotates around their own axis while staying parallel to the base.
It starts from back bird, with the first step the flyer turns into bird, with the second step she turns back into back bird. Hands in contact throughout. Two steps. (the logroll is three)
Front rotisserie, this is frontisserie 🙂
In this video, the flyer has her feet closed the entire time! it can be so.
