From Star to Back bird (step and pop)

This transition can be done with a step, which is the beginner-friendly version, or with a pop for a more dynamic challenge.
With Step: A commonly used transition. The base removes one foot while lowering the flyer with the other. As the base’s foot makes contact with the flyer’s back, the flyer tilts onto it. The base then removes the other foot and steps onto the flyer’s sacrum.
With Pop: The base gives the flyer a small boost of momentum, and the flyer lands back onto the base’s foot in back bird. It’s important to make sure the base’s foot connects to the flyer’s sacrum, not the lower back.
