A free shoulderstand on feet forms a real STAR when the flyer lets go of the base’s hand, spreads her legs and spreads her hands. The flyer keeps herself straight, tenses his muscles, and the base balances.
The base brings their heels together behind the flyer’s nape, allowing the flyer to rest their head against them and stabilize themselves in the pose.
This is typically a well-photographed pose, rarely seen in sequences.
