High flying whale

High flying whale: One of the first poses encountered by a beginner acro-yoga practitioner. Base’s sole is at the flyer’s shoulder blade, while the base holds the flyer’s ankle. Flyer lays in the sole of the base, digs, this is a nice position. Base’s job is to keep the balance.

The base grabs the flyer’s ankle, and touches her upper back with her feet so she knows the base is there. Then the flyer arches her back then puts weight on the base’s feet. The base pushes both legs and hints her legs are not exactly 90 degrees. The flyer shifts some weight to one side and the base can hold her ankle with her hands. The base gives the flyer enough support to feel beautiful and to shine.
