This is another beautiful Catherine’s Wheel variation, following the same direction and overall pathway as the original. What makes it different is the flyer’s position: she maintains a Bow Pose throughout the entire rotation, giving the familiar washing machine a completely different shape and character.
The Bowcycle can be surprisingly challenging for the flyer. With her hands holding her ankles throughout the rotation, she cannot use her arms or legs to correct the balance or reach for the ground. Instead, she has to maintain the Bow shape and trust the base completely—even while upside down. That feeling of vulnerability can be one of the hardest parts of the sequence.
Why show four videos of the same washing machine? Because seeing different flyers perform it shows that this isn’t just a one-off trick created by a single pair. It’s a repeatable sequence—and perhaps one worth trying yourself.
The flyer is in a ustrasana (bow) pose throughout. The process is similar to the steps of Catherine’s wheel!
