This transition is actually the second element of the prasarita twist. There is no complete agreement about the prasarita twist. Most of the videos (there are even instructional videos) that say the prasarita twist is just a folded leaf to straddle bat. That’s all and nothing more. In our opinion, this transition is also part of the prasarita twist, that is, the return to the folded leaf.
There are several transitions from a straddle bat to a folded leaf. Most videos show it through a side star, but we (Acrodemy.eu) have a “prasarity” version based on the same trunk twist that we used to get from folded leaf to straddle bat. In fact, there are two versions of this, in one the base holds the flyer’s shoulder, and in the other the upper arm. It’s worth trying them all.
feel the flow tutorial video. In this video, the flyer goes up to the inside side star with a cross handgrip, and in this position the base passes to the flyer’s hip with the other leg. The base is holding the flyer’s hands.
The base continues to rotate the flyer’s hips while holding the flyer’s shoulders with both hands. After the leg change, the flyer’s shoulder also follows the twist.
A completely different transition than we saw in the ‘feel the flow’ tutorial video.
In this transition the base hold the flyer’s upper arm.
