More Trapdoor – Variations & Creative Flows

23

The Trapdoor is a simple washing machine with plenty of room for variation. While the classic sequence moves from Reverse Bird to Back Bird and returns through Low Foot-to-Hand, changing this return pathway can give the familiar washing machine a completely different character.
Some variations make only a small adjustment—changing the support, grip, or using a different version of a familiar pose. Others take the idea much further, adding new movements and developing the Trapdoor into longer, more creative flows.
This collection brings together those variations that don’t necessarily need a full breakdown of their own. Explore the videos, compare the different pathways, and perhaps find a new version of the Trapdoor to try!

High TrapDoor

A simple twist on the classic Trapdoor, replacing Low Foot-to-Hand with High Foot-to-Hand while keeping the familiar pathway intact.

Octopus Trap

One Trapdoor, four different Birds! This video explores the classic Trapdoor pathway from all four Bird variations, showing how the same basic idea can work from different orientations.

Lorenzo's spin

They turn from back bird via side star back to reverse bird. Watch their hands! There is only 1 hand connection throughout!
