Secretary, Thinker

258

This pose is also known by several names, as the flyer sits cross-legged, elbows opposite elbows on the knees like a thinker, or placing the hands on the crossed legs as if waiting for instructions from the boss, like a secretary. In Hungary, we even call this pose a bar stool, because how would a flyer sit on a bar stool, sipping a cocktail?
You can take the pose from straddle throne and reverse straddle throne, these are two different poses, and there is an easier version of the pose when the base also supports the flyer with the other leg.

Elbow pose, this is the thinker. And the other leg of the base is also under the flyer, so this is a lighter version, it's worth starting with.
Here, the flyer looks like she is typing on a typewriter with her legs crossed, like a secretary. This is also the lighter version, the base supports the flyer with the other leg.
Version started from a staddle throne, the base's other leg does not help, and the flyer sits on the base's leg as if it were a bar stool.
This version started from a reverse straddle throne, and the flyer pretends to think... like a thinker. The base doesn't help here either with its free leg.

Videos

In this video, we show you how to take the pose from the straddle throne
Base: center the foot on which the flyer is held and balanced.
Flyer: she strives with her head up, she does not lower her hips, but tries to stand out and keep herself tight. The flyer does not balance.
