This is one of those transitions that’s every bit as fun as it looks. The flyer’s job is surprisingly simple: she holds a solid Needle position with her arms alongside her body and maintains strong body tension throughout the movement.
Meanwhile, two bases lie side by side and pass the flyer back and forth between them. Starting from a Bird, the flyer moves through a Needle as the second base receives her in a Back Bird. From there, she travels back through a Reverse Needle, allowing the first base to catch her in a Bird again. The sequence can be repeated over and over, creating a smooth and playful flow between the two bases.
