The Star to Folded Leaf transition is half of the Corkscrew washing machine. The flyer moves downward with a vertical torso and rotates 180 degrees around their own axis. Their legs remain in a wide straddle, parallel to the ground throughout the movement.
The base lowers the flyer, who begins to rotate their torso. The base brings their leg behind the flyer and steps in close to the flyer’s hips with the foot turned outward. Both partners maintain a strong hand connection to stabilize the pose.
