From Reverse Couch to Side Orion pose

42

This is a rare and unusual transition. Both the starting pose and the final pose are relatively uncommon, but the movement itself is so unique that it is worth watching several times and experimenting with.
The flyer begins perpendicular to the base. From this position, the base rotates the flyer and transfers the flyer’s hips from the feet into the hands. The flyer then grabs the base’s now-free foot and holds onto it with both hands.
With the flyer holding the foot, the base can remove the other leg from under the flyer’s armpit. This creates a balanced position that we call Side-Orion.

This transition is a part of the “Butterfly Knife” washing machine.
